Aquaventure is the water park of Atlantis The Palm, at the outer tip of Palm Jumeirah, and one of the largest in the world, with more than 100 rides and attractions. The best known are the Leap of Faith, a near-vertical drop through a lagoon with sharks, Poseidon's Revenge and the Aquaconda, among the biggest water slides anywhere.
Between the slides there is a long lazy river with rapids, a wave rider for surfing, splash areas for small children and a private beach, all part of the day pass.
A day pass covers the slides, the river and the beach. Combo tickets add the Lost Chambers Aquarium at Atlantis, with its sunken-city tanks; others include hotel transfers, lunch, or a shark or dolphin encounter.
A fast-track pass, lockers, towels and cabanas are usually extra. Each listing says what is included and which option you are booking.
Plan a full day and arrive at opening, when the queues for the big slides are shortest. The park is open all year; on summer days the morning and late afternoon are the most comfortable hours.
Some slides have height limits, so check them before promising a ride to children. The Palm Monorail ends at the Atlantis Aquaventure station, next to the park; tickets with transfers pick you up at your hotel. The list is ranked by traveller reviews.
Not in a standard day pass — book a combo ticket for both. The listing says which option you are booking.
It is at Atlantis The Palm, at the end of Palm Jumeirah. The Palm Monorail runs to the Atlantis Aquaventure station; a taxi or a ticket with hotel transfers takes you to the entrance.
