Alone in the Universe at Jumeirah Beach Hotel

Alone in the Universe brings a sharp, witty drama to the stage of the Meyana Theatre at Jumeirah Beach Hotel. This contemporary play delves into the fragile nature of love, trust, and the complicated truths that bind relationships together. Audiences are welcomed into the home of a seemingly ordinary couple whose evening takes a dramatic turn when an innocent discovery ignites a storm of suspicion and confession.

The play follows Phyllis as she uncovers her best friend’s name in her husband’s address book, setting off a chain of accusations, awkward explanations, and moments of vulnerability. As secrets surface and defenses crumble, the characters are forced to confront not just each other but themselves, exposing the hidden fears and desires that shape their lives.

Acclaimed film and stage talents Kristina Babushkina, Artyom Tkachenko, Ekaterina Stulova, Maxim Litovchenko, and Alexandra Milyoshina lead the cast. Their performances bring out the humour, heartbreak, and absurdity found in everyday misunderstandings and the search for happiness.

Set against the backdrop of Jumeirah Beach Hotel’s Meyana Theatre in Dubai, Alone in the Universe explores the challenges of honesty, the fragility of illusions, and the universal longing for connection. This is a play for anyone who has ever questioned what they know about love—and themselves.
