The Game's Afoot The Junction in Dubai

Step into a world of intrigue and comedy as The Junction brings Ken Ludwig’s "The Game’s Afoot" to the Dubai stage. Set on Christmas Eve in 1936, this lively murder mystery unfolds in the grand Connecticut mansion of Broadway star William Gillette, who has invited his fellow actors for a holiday celebration. The festivities quickly shift from cheerful to chilling when a guest is found dead, leaving every partygoer under suspicion.

With tension mounting and motives multiplying, Gillette—who famously portrays Sherlock Holmes on stage—takes it upon himself to solve the crime. However, his theatrical experience as a detective doesn’t quite prepare him for the real thing. What follows is a riotous investigation filled with missteps, wild accusations, and cases of mistaken identity, all wrapped in sharp wit and 1930s charm.

The play masterfully blends suspense with farce, offering a theatrical escape where the hunt for the culprit is as chaotic as it is hilarious. Audiences can expect a clever script, colorful characters, and an atmosphere that captures both the elegance and eccentricity of the era.

Enjoy an evening of laughter, unpredictable twists, and classic whodunit fun at The Junction, located in Dubai’s Alserkal Avenue arts district. Ideal for fans of comedy, drama, and classic detective stories, this production promises entertainment from curtain up to final bow.
