Window Tak Ashiqui at The Junction in Dubai

Window Tak Ashiqui brings a moving solo performance to The Junction, inviting audiences in Dubai to experience the tender nostalgia of first love. Written and performed by Manu Rishi Chadha, this evocative play draws the audience into the atmospheric streets of Old Delhi, where memories linger and glances hold meaning beyond words.

The story centers on Monu, as he reminisces about his earliest brush with romance—a childhood affection kindled through shy exchanges, wordless moments, and music drifting through an open window. The play beautifully recreates the era of cassette tapes, handwritten notes, and the quiet thrill of window-side encounters, capturing the essence of longing and innocence.

Rooted in the unique tradition of "window romance," Window Tak Ashiqui explores how some loves endure in memory, shaping us even when they remain unspoken or incomplete. The performance is warm and deeply personal, blending humor and bittersweet emotion as it celebrates those pivotal moments that define our youth.

Set in the intimate setting of The Junction, this production is ideal for anyone who cherishes the joys and ache of young love, enjoys heartfelt storytelling, or appreciates theatre with cultural resonance. Experience a story where missed chances and unforgettable feelings come to life on stage, offering a gentle reminder of how first loves never truly fade.
