Planning a visit to Dubai Miracle Garden

What you see there

Dubai Miracle Garden, in Dubailand, is the world’s largest natural flower garden: some 150 million flowers over 72,000 square metres, shaped into heart-shaped arches, umbrella-covered walkways, flower castles and life-size characters. Its best-known piece is a full-size Emirates A380 covered in flowers, listed by Guinness World Records.

The displays are redesigned every season, so a second visit shows new themes. Paths are flat and partly shaded, with cafés, seating and toilets; two to three hours is enough to walk the whole garden.

A seasonal garden

The garden is outdoors and open in the cooler months only: it usually opens in autumn, around October or November, and closes when the summer heat comes, around May or June — the exact dates are announced each year. Out of season it is closed, so check the dates before booking.

It opens daily from the morning until the evening, later at weekends. The late afternoon is the most comfortable time: cooler air, softer light for photos, and the garden lit up after sunset.

Tickets, transfers and combos

An entry ticket is all you need; many listings add a hotel transfer, which helps as there is no metro station next to the garden — by taxi it is about 20 to 30 minutes from Downtown or the Marina. Skip-the-line tickets save the queue at the gate on busy weekend evenings.

About half the tickets are combos: the Butterfly Garden next door, the Dubai Frame, Burj Khalifa At the Top or an evening at Global Village, which is open in the same season. Each listing says what is included. The list is ranked by traveller reviews.
