Planning a day on Yas Island
The parks
Yas Island, on the edge of Abu Dhabi, gathers the country's biggest theme parks a few minutes apart. Ferrari World, under its huge red roof, is the home of Formula Rossa, one of the fastest roller coasters in the world, along with gentler rides and the history of the brand. Warner Bros. World is indoors too, with Looney Tunes and DC superheroes in themed lands such as Gotham City and Metropolis.
Next to them are Yas Waterworld, an outdoor water park of slides and wave pools, SeaWorld Yas Island, a marine-life park with its rides and shows under one roof, and CLYMB, with indoor skydiving and a climbing wall. The Yas Marina Circuit hosts the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the end of the year.
Which ticket to choose
A single-park ticket covers one day in one park. Multi-park passes let you choose two or three parks over several days, which is worth it if you stay a night in Abu Dhabi or come back. Some listings let you pick the park when you book.

Practical tips
Yas Island is about an hour and a half by road from Dubai, more at rush hour, so a park day is a full day: leave in the morning and arrive at opening time. Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World and SeaWorld are indoors and air-conditioned, which makes them a good choice in summer; Yas Waterworld is best from October to April or early in the day.
The biggest rides have minimum heights and health rules — check them before you go if you travel with children. On a combo with the Grand Mosque, bring clothes that cover arms and legs, and a headscarf for women.
