This Dubai Desert Safari is designed for travelers seeking adventure, cultural experiences, and the natural beauty of the desert just outside Dubai. Departing from the city, the journey begins with convenient pickup from your hotel in Dubai, Sharjah, or Ajman, setting the stage for an evening of exploration and excitement among the golden-red dunes. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or returning to discover more of Dubai’s wilderness, this tour offers a blend of action, tradition, and relaxation that appeals to a wide range of interests.
The adventure starts as you arrive in the heart of the Lahbab Desert, renowned for its dramatic red dunes and expansive, untouched scenery. After a warm welcome from your guide, you’ll receive a safety briefing before the action begins. The first activity is an exhilarating session of dune bashing in a 4x4 vehicle, expertly driven across the rolling sand hills. You’ll experience the thrill of climbing steep dunes and racing down their slopes, all while surrounded by the unique landscape of the region. There’s also time to pause and take in the panoramic vistas, perfect for capturing the desert’s beauty in photos.
Following the adrenaline rush of dune bashing, your adventure continues with a short camel ride—an authentic way to experience the desert as Bedouins have for centuries. For additional excitement, try sandboarding down the soft slopes, or, depending on your selected package, hop onto a quad bike or dune buggy for more high-energy fun. Wildlife enthusiasts will have the chance to spot Arabian oryx and gazelles, native to Dubai’s vast protected nature reserves. As the sun begins to set, many packages include a stop to watch the changing colors of the sky over the dunes, offering another opportunity for memorable photography.
The day’s activities lead you to a traditional Bedouin camp, where the pace slows and you immerse yourself in desert hospitality. Here, you can relax with unlimited Arabic coffee (Gahwa), teas, and soft drinks. The camp is the setting for cultural experiences such as henna painting or shisha, and the evening culminates with a multi-course BBQ buffet dinner. Freshly grilled meats, salads, and Arabian specialties—including vegetarian options—are served under the stars. As you dine, live performances like Tanoura dance, fire shows, and belly dancing create a festive and authentic desert atmosphere.
Your experience concludes with a return drive to the city, as your guide brings you back to your original pickup point. The journey back allows time to reflect on the evening’s sights and activities, with the city lights of Dubai welcoming you at the end of your adventure. The tour is structured to ensure a seamless and comfortable experience from start to finish, with all logistics thoughtfully arranged.
Included in your booking are round-trip transfers by 4x4 vehicle, all main activities—such as dune bashing, camel riding, sandboarding, and access to the camp—as well as unlimited water, teas, soft drinks, and a full BBQ buffet dinner with vegetarian options. Traditional Arabic coffee is also provided at the camp. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase but are not included in the package.
The Dubai desert, especially the Lahbab area, is famous for its striking red sand dunes and serene, open vistas that stretch to the horizon. This protected reserve is a haven for native wildlife like Arabian oryx and gazelles, giving visitors the chance to experience the region’s natural heritage. The camp’s setting beneath the desert sky, away from city lights, offers an ideal backdrop for stargazing and enjoying the tranquility unique to this landscape. The atmosphere is enhanced by traditional Bedouin-style hospitality and entertainment, connecting you to the cultural roots of the region.
